Mindful Conversations

I have been working this summer with some great people who are also using mindfulness in their classrooms. We have put together a great event for anyone who is interested in learning more about mindfulness. We are excited to announce the 2nd Mindfulness Conversations event that will be held Saturday, August 20 at Niagara University from 8:30 to noon in St. Vincent Hall. This year’s conversations will focus on schools. We will be having strands for Pre-K, elementary, middle, secondary, college/university, counselors, psychologists, social workers, coaches, and administrators. The intent of this event is to call together those interested in mindfulness in their field to meet with others to discuss their work, questions, concerns, share ideas and activities, and to create connections so that ongoing conversations can take place.

Registration begins at 8:30. Welcome is at 9:00 with conversations running from 9:30 to 11:00. We convene at 11:15 for closing remarks and reflection. We are asking that each attendee bring all or some of the following:

Personal experiences and stories
Successes
Difficulties
Questions
Recommended resources (for display)
An activity to share (to demonstrate)
